Dar:

First let me say how much I respect you for knowing when you need help and
to be willing to do whatever it takes to gain control over undesirable
behavior. When the school was not able to help, then instead of giving up
like so many people do, you went out and did everything possible to fix it
yourself. Good for you and keep up the good work. I hope this works out
for you. As you have said before, it isn't Penney's guide work as much as
it is her behavior that gets her into trouble. A good trainer should have
great success within that three month period. Some dogs are very slobbery
when they take treats. I always carry hand sanitizer with me. I have a
small bottle that clips to the strap of my purse. The problem for you will
be to give the treat, clean your hands and somehow get your gloves back on.
You may be successful with a thin knit pair of gloves where you can feel the
treat to give it quickly without removing the gloves. Where you live the
extreme cold will definitely keep you from working her outside. You may
have to take her to shopping centers, department stores and maybe even a
mall. That is what I do when weather keeps me from working Eva outside. I
have the problem both in the heat and cold because those temperatures have a
very negative effect on my health. I think Eva finds it a bit boring but,
at least we can get some work inside when we can't get out. Good luck and
pleas do keep us posted.

Sandra and Eva

Subject: [NAGDU] update

I wanted to share the update on my dog.
Yesterday we went to pet smart speaking to the lady who trains dogs.
For three months she charges $285 for one hour a week,
She has three different prices so I get them mixed up.
We chose the one hour a week.
When she saw my dog, she put on her rite away the gentle leader.
Wa you should have seen the fight between the two of them.
She gives treat rewards, small ones but just the same.
I bought a package to do the same.
Now I need to get hand wash oh yuck hate the slobber when she gets the
treat.
Then try to put a glove on no way.
So I will look to see what I have.
What was entertaining for me, when the leader went on the dog where she
decided this lady knows what she is doing,
we walked around dogs persons and she followed all the way.
Then we left store went to walmart where she did everything even
looking at a pet dog someone brought in the store barking.
Never went towards dog.
Never turned around to see persons or anything like that.
I still kept praising her for the good work she did.
I go again tomorrow evening, and we will pick each week, if one day
works then we will try another one.
Things like that.
She knows what to do, where after the three months I am told I will
have a different dog.
I know this has to be true.
I also called the school who shared all of this is my fault.
He called it a oh now can't think of the name.
This one is red and a small size. I like that.
I wanted to share because a year ago she hated it so badly she chewed
the peace that slides up her nose to fit the dog.
Never worked after that.
I will come in and give reports.
We are so cold here I can't get out and walk.
We will go down to minus digits so I won't even let her stay out long.
Thanks for reading.
Oh yes they call it a halty.
I didn't realize it was the same thing to the school.
