While I was at the vet, I asked her if Krokus could be poisoned by xylitol
by eating old chewing gum.  She said it wasn't too likely, since all the
xylitol would have been already chewed out before the slob discarded the
gum.  It might cause a blockage, if it was a big hunk, but it wouldn't
poison him.

I rather thought that was the case, but it was nice to get a confirming
opinion.  I'll still take gum away from the young idiot, but at least I
don't have to panic about it.
