I am so sorry to hear this, Chaim. I can't imagine the pain and sorrow.

If a hug would help, you've got it.

For those of you on the Nagdu list, I sent a message out but had typed the address incorrectly. The message bounced back and was truncated. Essentially, Keeper had a growth, which was in danger of becoming seriously infected. His arthritis had set in. In fact, the vet informed me this morning that he was starting to develop neurological problems. Keeping him alive would have been rather costly, and not pleasant for him. Shortly after 11 o'clock this morning, the vet administered the final shot. He passed happy and peaceful, with the vet and me petting him. The hardest part of it all was that when I arrived at the vet's office and walked into the room, Keeper was wagging his tail, and bobbing his head up and down so happy to see me. It was hard to imagine this it was so necessary to do this. Yet, the vet, who originally felt Keeper had a chance, had done a mental about-face and said the time had come.
