Melissa,

First of all, I assume the person lives in Colorado. I have attached
the current text of the state statute for your information. Also, housing
accommodations are governed by the Fair Housing Act under the jurisdiction
Of the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
These laws are enforced by the local county housing authority. The citation,
in and of itself, is evidence the housing accommodation has discriminated
against their tenant. The individual has both a federal and state cause of
action. I suggest we chat a bit tomorrow so I can give you a little
direction on how to resolve this amicably. If the housing accommodation is
unwilling to do so, I suggest the tenant file complaints with the housing
authority, law enforcement, the state attorney general, and the local
jurisdiction, as all have specific, mutually exclusive remedies that could
significantly impact the housing accommodation.

Fraternally yours,
Marion

Subject: [NAGDU] A question.

I was contacted by a guide dog user. She is being cited for violating the
pet pollicy in her condo building. The violation is that she took the dog
to the pool area. Not in the pool, but in the pool area. Any advice of how
I can assist her is appreciated.
