Dear Wayne,
I am not sure if Pilot was apart of the U.S. Guide Dog School Council at one point or not as my knowledge isn't all that great with accreditation or non accreditation organizations.
Pilot only puts out 150 teams a year from what I remember.
I did have great experiences there, despite getting a dog who shouldn't have been put out into the field as a guide.
The executive director even told me this and he took full responsibility for that happening to me.
Speaking of Jay Gray, I will need to write him a letter, letting him know that Odie is very close to being thirteen years that he may not be around much longer.
He is really slowing down more and his left back leg can't handle stairs much more at all.
We're having brand new elevators put into the building starting next month, so will have to send him out to some friends of mine in centenial, Colorado.
He won't have to deal with elevators or stairs and I'm able to go out and see him whever I feel I need to get away from my apartment complex and the noise.
As for Gallenhearts, they are a farely new guide dog school, so they still have time to grow.
It was started by my friend Rebecca (Becky) Floyd, a former Pilot Dogs graduate.
I'm still thinking on the owner trainer thing, but know that I could go back to Pilot any time for a successor dog.
