Michael,
I am sure others will offer some suggestions; however, it seems that the public pretty much ignores such signs. In fact, I have heard of people reading the sign, saying they understand they are not supposed to pet the guide dog, and saying the dog is just too irresistible to avoid petting. I believe the best way to handle this is by telling each person they are not to pet the dog while on duty.
Fraternally yours,

does anyone have any suggestions for a vest to encourage not petting?
I’m working with a lab from seeing eye, and want to get some sort of sign or vest to discourage public from wanting to pet my wonderful guide Titan.
Thanks for any tips/advise, and i understand a sign won’t stop everyone however maybe it will help with people randomly petting and distracting.
best.
