Honestly, I don’t bother with such signs. I feel that they make the harness more bulky. I also think that my dog should be able to deal with such distractions. When he doesn’t, I correct him, which often causes the person to take their hands off my dog. I’ve been known to forcibly remove a few hands, although it doesn’t happen often. I try to catch them before they ever touch Dallas. Yes, I know he’s cute, I know he has big floppy ears and brown eyes that remind you of Fluffy or Fido, your great uncle’s cousin’s sister’s half brother’s daughter’s dog, who looks just like him accept he’s tiny, black, and has curly hair. Oh, and he died several years ago. Sniff sniff. I’m so glad I have a lot of patience sometimes. All that to say, don’t bother with them. Educate, and hopefully they will listen. Then there are the crazies who throw food at your dog despite your warnings because he “looks hungry.” Nope, just shake your head and move on, folks.

Since the sign is rectangular, it takes a bit of maneuvering to make it fit on a GDF offset harness and I had to anchor the bottom strap with string tied tightly around the handle sides. It's a little bit awkward and the sign doesn't stay at the correct angle most of the time, but it is extremely bright and readable by anyone who is sighted. I've stopped using it, because I think it just draws attention to her and it is easier for people to ignore her when they don't see her in the first place.
