[NAGDU] Joys of Having a Retriever

Hello:
Thirty years ago Rusty, my male golden caught a live pigeon. I was on my
way to church. As I passed a park, Rusty suddenly began pulling harder than
he usually did and then he jumped up. I corrected him and I could hear the
pigeon making lots of noises as it attempted to get away. I kept struggling
with my very stubborn golden to let go of his prize. Finally I managed to
correct him enough times that he reluctantly let go and the pigeon flew
away. When I finally got to church I had to apologize to the choir director
for being quite late for the rehearsal before church. When I told him what
happened he said, I guess Rusty wanted to bring a live offering to church
this morning. That dog was nuts for anything with wings. Now I live in a
senior housing development. My back yard faces the pond. My previous dog
Tara loved the ducks geese and other birds. Now Eva is enjoying her
feathered friends too. The ducks are quite bold and are often seen walking
in our yards and along the sidewalks. It is quite strange to suddenly
encounter a string of ducks walking in a line as Eva and I take our walks.
You just have to love these retrievers.

Well I can top this one with something was even more gross and disgusting is
my current dog Mac who is a poodle had something in his mouth and dropped it
in the house and when my son came in and said what is that squirrel head
doing on the floor nobody does the Littles disgusting squirrels bed so that
is truly truly icky do so so nobody just the head so don't know what
happened to the body so likely my son was able to pick up the squirrels head
and throw it outside in the area that the dog doesn't go to so rather have a
dead bird to pick up those squirrels head any day
My thoughts for today
