Hi Morgance.
The NZymes sound interesting. If my Krokus's allergies get bad this summer,
I'll keep it in mind. Glad it helped your boy. Sounds like he was really
suffering.
Tracy

Hello. I am new to the group. I thought, if it is ok?, to mention a line of
products I have been using for my golden "Rusty" who has had bouts of severe
skin allergies. The Nzymes products have worked so well with Rusty that my
husband and I use it, and i give it to my SD "Ellie"
our two poms and two cats.

It is called "Nzymes".

Their products are highly concentrated and not expensive.

We
tried many different foods, supplements, natural remedies, homeopathics,
shampoos, topical sprays, t-shirts to cover his naked body and to prevent
further scratching that left him bloody, even a very short run with steroids
and nothing worked. He was in such bad shape we thought we might have to put
him down. The first week on the product the nasty candida smell went away,
and our sweet boy slept for about 3 days straight. After about 3 months,
his ear infections went away, his coat started to show signs of regrowth.

I don't get a kick back from
these people, i just want to share our story because I know there are SO
many dogs out there with severe skin allergies like what our Rusty boy dwelt
with.

Sandra I hope this will help Eva with her allergies.

Respectfully,

Hello:

My golden retriever, Eva, has seasonal allergies. My vet has suggested 50
milligrams of Benadryl twice a day. She has never treated a guide dog so
does not know if the Benadryl will make Eva drowsy or not. I plan to call
Pilot and ask their opinion but I thought I would ask all of you if you have
given your dogs Benadryl and if it made them drowsy and effected their work.

I know many of you will start talking about lots of natural stuff but
everything we have tried has not worked. Changing her food did not help
either. So here we are trying to find a medication that will help Eva's
allergies. She has the yeast infections in both ears again and is rubbing
her eyes and scratching . When I stopped at the pharmacy to buy some
Benadryl I mentioned that it was for Eva. The pharmacist said that Benadryl
does not make dogs sleepy like it does people but that it will make her
calmer and more relaxed. Well, let me tell you this dog doesn't need to be
made calmer. She is already very low key and calm. If she were given a
drug that would make her more relaxed, she probably would fall asleep. One
of the pet websites sells chlorpheniramin 4 milligram tabs for dogs with
allergies. Have any of you used it and did it help?

Sandra and Eva
