Matthew,

Happy anniversary. I hope they're able to track down the UTI and get it 
taken care of. I went through that with Mitzi when she was young, and it 
was just maddening. Also, expensive. They finally started doing steril 
urine extractions, taking urine directly from the bladder through a 
needle. Poor Mitzi poodle! But they found the underlying cause of the 
infection, which was staph which thankfully hadn't gotten antibiotic 
resistant with all the treatments for secondary infections. They tested 
for the most effective antibiotic, then we treated for much longer than 
the normal course would be. I'm thinking it was a month, but it may have 
been more. I also had to clean her with a disinfectant solution for even 
a long time after that. But it got rid of the infection for once and 
all. Whew! She developed bladder stones later on, which may have been 
started by the infections. Since we got those removed, she's been fine. 
I've given her cranberry daily since then, just to cover my bases.

Hope all goes well while Marilyn is back at school, and that she comes 
home to you healthy.
