[NAGDU] Seeing Eye application process

Hi Andy.
I've been to The Seeing Eye twice, most recently a couple years ago.
After your references are in, Admissions will schedule an instructor visit.
That means someone will come out, walk around your neighborhood with you,
and assess your orientation and mobility. They may give you a Juno
walk--walk around with you holding the harness handle, to give you a general
feel for how it is working a dog (though humans don't walk like dogs and
it's not the same).
Then, if that goes well, you get a class date.
Feel free to call or email Admissions and ask them anything. I'm a pest
myself, asking things like when is someone coming out? When can I get in
class?
If you're flexible about when you can go to class, especially if you're
willing to go on short notice, let them know that.
Good luck! I've been happy with my Seeing Eye experience.
Tracy

Subject: [NAGDU] Seeing Eye application process

Hi,

I applied for a Seeing Eye dog. Does anyone have any experience with the
application process? All of my references have been accounted for. What is
next?
