I've done it with Holly as well. The only thing I would take is a brush in
case you encounter burrs out there! And strong muscles for those squirrel
meetings! Holly has been great but, I know how much she can pull if a
squirrel or rabbit shows up!

Hello listers,

Happy Sunday to you!

I’ve just returned from my first birding experience with my guide dog, and
it was a blast! My pup, York, did beautifully on the nature trail; I was
very impressed with his outdoor skills. Of course I traveled with my usual
supplies: water, bowl, poop bags, first-aid kit.

But for any other hikers or birders on the list, would you recommend
additional supplies? Are there essentials you take with you when you and
your pup brave the wild outdoors? Other recommendations you’d offer?

Best,
Emily, with York
