[NAGDU] Dogs During an Eclipse?

If your dog looks directly at the sun, including through a partial eclipse,
then it is a problem. The 1 to 2 minutes of the total eclipse are not
dangerous to look at, or so the local news says. Of course if you have the
glasses or other safe approved viewing devices, then you are good to go. So
for me, I plan to do nothing much different. The dogs can be in or out as
they like. If they seem to be bothered by the change then it's in the house
or crate, otherwise it's likely we'll all be on the patio. I have never
noticed any dog I've ever had staring at the sun. I happen to be in one of
the peak viewing areas. We will have nearly 2.5 minutes of the total
eclipse.

People here are nuts, but it's mostly about the insane level of tourists.
We normally don't get anyone to come here to visit, unless there's a wedding
or funeral. So I'm avoiding restaurants and shopping this weekend. Oh and
downtown with all the out of town drivers who don't understand the one way
streets.

Subject: [NAGDU] Dogs During an Eclipse?

Hey Everyone!

Is there anything special that needs to be done for guides during an
eclipse? I am not stupid. I just never had a dog working during an
eclipse and someone on another list asked.
I remember I was in school during the last one and we were aloud to go
out and view it, but everybody around here has got there panties in a
bunch some even closing schools and others preventing the children
from going out to recess, and yet others are as expected, using
technology inside the classroom.
