[NAGDU] Eclipse

The total eclipse does only last a minute or two. The partial eclipse lasts
about 3 hours. Of course exact times depend on your particular location.
It is only harmful if you look directly at the sun. Of course if you go
and look directly at the sun today or tomorrow it's also going to be bad.
The glasses only cost a few dollars. Here they range from $2 to $4 and many
places are giving them away for free as a promotional thing.

Again if people are worried that your dogs are going to be harned, then
leaving them indoors is the thing to do.

Jake's vet ophthalmologist said to keep Jake in the whole time around the
eclipse. Even though Washington State is not getting Totality. Someone on
another list said the eclipse only lasts a minute, Wrong! Then why pray tell
are people going out and buying expensive glasses for one minute? Like Tracy
said keep the dog in the shade and don't stay out either one of you when it
starts and ends even a tiny bit of the moon blocking the sun amplifies the
sun to cook your retinas.
