[NAGDU] Birthday Wishes

Has anyone ever eaten one of those Petco Oreos? They are actually a little
bland, but they aren't half bad for a dog treat.

Krokus is very fond of PetCo Oreos, so he'll get one of those. An Oreo and
plent of happy pats, what more could a golden/lab want?!

Tracy and all, I just have to chime in here. Are there birthday cakes or
holiday treatments for guide dogs?

Happy birthday, Eva!
Krokus will also turn 4 next week. Eva sounds a lot calmer than my
ridiculous puppy, though. She sounds lovely.
Krokus's birthday is Valentine's Day. That's why he's so sweet!

Hello:

Today my golden Eva is four years old. It is amazing how fast time goes by.

It seems like just weeks or months ago that I brought the little fourteen
month old graduate home. She is an amazing guide. She walks slow and does
not pull and never needs corrections. Eva is the perfect match for me. She
is a true joy to work. She especially enjoys going to the nursing home to
visit my parents. I take her harness off so staff and residents can enjoy
petting her. Mom and dad tell me that a lot of the people cry when they are
petting and hugging her. I know this is not correct guide dog behavior but,
I do not mind because Eva works perfectly once I put her harness on again.
I think it is important to give the residents the interaction with a dog
because they have all had to give up their pets when they were admitted.
Eva brings a lot of loving kindness to the staff and residents of the
Homeview Health and Rehab Center. I am proud that she can be my guide as
well as provide much needed pet therapy to so many people. Happy Birthday
to Eva and here is wishing you many more years of great guiding and sharing
your love.
Sandra Johnson and Eva
