Thanks Buddy, that sounds very interesting. Please don't forget to let us
know how it actually works. If it's good, I'll probably add one to my own
inventory.

Hi,

Biothan is whatit's made out of. Someone else will have to tell you what it
is, but I gather it's something like nylon, but coated or something. Horse
people seem to like it, as it wears better than leather and is easier to
clean. I understand it may be thicker than your standard nylon webbing. I
should get the harness in the next few weeks; Nerissa tells me it will ship
by ebruary 11th.

>From the description, it sounds like the Seeing Eye style harness, i.e. with
a martingale. The handle is removable. Instead of D-rings and some kind of
thing like a panic snap or trigger snap or bolt snap, she's trying out
something that Nerissa believes will offer better feedback and a more rigid
connection. She describes it:

[...]
> I found a new technique I'm calling the "pop Strut quick disconnect"
system. Where the ring on the harness usually is, there is a little ball
post. Then on the handle, you slide down a tube (like an air compressor
hose), and it clicks onto the ball and holds securely.

It sounds like it might be a bit like what GDB uses, except the other way
round, but I'm not sure.

I've also ordered the saddlebags with it. These will fit over the harness,
and anyone can use them. The nice thing is, they sound like they'll be long
enough (10 inches long) to hold a collapsed cane. Not an NFB telescoping
perhaps, but I have this other one that the ACB used to sell that's 59
inches and collapses in nine sections to a 9 inch length.

I'll let y'all know about it once I get it in.
