Hi there, my husband works in the medical field as well. He is the CIO for
14 hospitals in Wi and IL. I forgot to ad my email before so it is:
nellie at culodge.com

Good luck with the new job! I loved every minute of teaching, and
especially the naughty students! :)

Hi Janelle,

Welcome! My name is Jen. I am thirty years old, have finished an online
medical transcription course and am about to start a temporary online job as
soon as the paperwork is in order. Although I am not a guide dog user, I am
interested in all things guide dog. I love the name Occupaws!!!

Thank you for your years of dedication helping children with disabilities.

My e-mail address is

Subject: [NAGDU] Hello

Hello. I just wanted to introduce myself to the group. My name is Janell,
and I have a guide dog, Sully from OCCUPAWS in Madison, Wisconsin. I live in
a small town, Chetek, in northern Wisconsin. Sully is my first guide, and we
have been together for almost three years. I am married and have two boys,
and I was a special education teacher for fifteen years before retiring a
few years ago at forty. I am assisting with our OCCUPAWS conference call
this week and have to discuss how to keep safe while walking at night. I was
wondering if anyone had any experience or information they could share about
this topic? Living in such a small community the only thing I have to worry
about (hopefully) are the bears. I have tried to search for some info but I
am not having much luck. I look forward to reading and sharing experiences
with this group!!

Thanks in advance for any help/stories/information,

Janell and Sully :)
