Dar, for a while I used a cane with Mallory and all worked out well. Is this a new dog with whom you are working, my friend!? I'm between dogs. Ivanna was diagnosed with kidney failure in January of 2015 and I was able to work her a little over two more years. She let me know she couldn't work anymore! Heartbroken I have been, but retiring her was the most selfless, though most difficult I could have done for her. She is happy, has a playmate and can just be a dog! I'm between dogs right now! Not liking it, but the time will come when I have another dog beside me!
