Dear friends,
I wish you and your tail-wagging friends are doing well. I wanted to let you know about some great resources that may save you some money! We all need that, right? The board of the Tennessee Association of Guide Dog Users has a Dropbox and Google Drive folder filled with numerous guides, resources at your disposal. If you have any gems you would like to share and think others could benefit, please contact me off list at secretary at nfb-tn.org. Now,as my first guide dog is battling his final days with cancer, I have had to train with a new guide-Bogey(named after Humphrey Bouregart). In researching food prices, I have found Amazon Prime Subscribe and Save service to be the cheapest source of dog food-cheaper than Petsmart, Petco, Chueys, etc. When you subscribe and save, you get an additional discount and it automatically comes to your door . Youc can set the frequency.
Next, IAADP (International Association of Assistive Dog Partners) is jam packed with great member benefits, which include:

	•	“Partners Forum,” a publication honored for excellence by the Dog Writers Association of America, fosters a global information sharing and advocacy network, linking together more than 300 assistance dog providers and thousands of assistance dog teams on five continents.

For those working with more than one assistance dog, IAADPs agreement with corporate sponsors makes Partner members eligible for benefits for only one dog annually. Some benefits have a link to a secondary webpage which will give you important information about how to obtain that IAADP benefit and provide information for your veterinarian as well.

Benefits Questions
	•	For answers to any benefits questions, PLEASE DO NOT contact any sponsor. Contact IAADP’s Membership Coordinator by e-mail at membership at iaadp.org. To continue receiving benefits, IAADP must have current information. If you change address, phone number or e-mail address, please register changes with the Membership Coordinator at database at iaadp.org.
	•
	•	In order to obtain benefits for your successor dog, contact our Membership Coordinator. You will need to supply information such as the name, breed and birth date of the successor dog at database at iaadp.org
	•
	•	Please remember that all benefits must be obtained through your veterinarian, with the exception of the KV Vet Supply 15% discount and the Muttluks discount.

The nutritional supplements and flea/tick preventative more than pays for the membership. Plus, if you have an unexpected emergency with your guide’s health, the $1,000 grant is so wonderful. It helped my family during Shep’s unexpected surgeries and expenses.
The membership is $40/year, $80 for 2 years. If you purchase two years, you get the third year free! I would also recommend KV Pet Supply, which provides a great discount to members. Even without the discount, I have found them to be friendly, knowledgeable, and competitively priced.
I hope this information helps you current users, new users, and those considering joining the guide team community. If you are interested in having access to our database or resources, please feel free to contact me.
