Florida dogs and Florida handlers are well aware of the heat, Cindy.  We 
are careful to protect our pups.  If we don't want Claire Rose  to be 
swimming, she goes on a tie-down when she isn't in the pool so she can 
choose to lay in the sun, or lay in the shade.  Otherwise, she just 
jumps in a cools herself off.  Most pools down here have pavers that do 
not retain heat.  You must be a northerner.
