Hi Gary,

During my medical transcription course, we discussed power-of-attorney issues. A power of attorney does give a person decision-making power over one's health care decisions, in the event the patient loses decision-making capability.

hi:

yes, some sort of legal clarification would be required.  Power of Attorney generally refers to giving a person power to manage your financial matters, it does not generally  give people power over a person's health care DECISIONS or personal decisions, so I'm curious what is meant by this and what is the purpose of it.
