[NAGDU] Questions about Cleaning up!

Hi.
i have had loads of shelf pets. i currently have a pet rat.
guinea pigs and rats go potty in one corner of the cage so it’s easy to spot clean if you want to do it that way.
pigs are much messier than rats as, they are vegetarians and eat way more and pee way more than rats.
they are also much louder than any rat.
but, the upside is, they are less active, much more cute, and you can keep them in a cage without a cover. they don’t jump or climb.
rats, on the other hand, are way more friendly, come to you when you open the door, don’t pee much at all, and are quieter. if your rat gets out he will come to you. if your pig gets out you will have to chase him down.
i tend to just clean the cage once a week and dump it all out and put in fresh bedding.
