And this is where I have a problem. If you feel it is not good for some
reason for your dog to go to the temple, then it should be your choice. I
don't think I would ever bring a dog to fireworks again. However, it is not
your place or anyone else's place to decide that I can't bring my dog there
unless it behaves poorly. Therefore, the reasoning you are giving implies
that guide dog users shouldn't make their choices. The bottom line is that
if the church doesn't welcome service dogs into their services, then you
can't bring it there. That would be the only valid reason for not being able
to bring the dog other than individual personal ones.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints does allow dogs in the
meeting houses. As far as the temple is concerned, most people I know feel
as I do - there's a lot of moving around, people coming from many different
directions and we just don't feel we'd take our dogs to the Temple even if
we could. I don't want my dog stressed. Most people will ride with others
and, thus, can seek assistance. In any case, I never considered leaving my
dog at home being a problem. I've always been taught that there should be
times when we leave our dogs at home so a visit to the Temple every once in
a while is a great time. HTH!
