Oh my god, I am so proud of your little dog and also of you for dealing
with it the way you did!

I'm so happy when I read this, though I'll admit I'm shuddering a bit at
what could have happened and I wouldn't have blamed you or Alek if there
had been a mistake, but I'm so glad there wasn't!1!

Around halfway through, he started to slow down, and eventually stopped. No form of positive reenforcement or verbal correction would make him move. After sticking my right foot out to see why he stopped, I tried to move him again. Eventually, he started inching along. Step, stop, step, stop, step… After doing this for a few minutes, he frantically looked at me, then behind us, back at me, then behind us again. When it appeared Alec was ready for normal speed, someone appeared out of nowhere. “Hi, I am a field worker for one of the local electric companies.” “Hi, what can I do for you?” “Well, not to be strange, but your dog just saved your life!” “What? How?” “He inched you around a live down power line that has over 2.5 gigavolts of electricity running through it.” “Don’t worry, it is routine maintenance. You have one special dog there.” Alec got praises for the rest of the route. Fortunately, the worker and power line problem were gone on the way back home.
