hi there
I just saw your post now. I have traveled to the United States with my previous guide, who was trained in the Republic of Ireland, and this was last year, all that I was required to have was my pet passport, this can be done through your vet, where your dog’s health information will be, stating that her vaccines are up today and she has been treated for ticks, fleas and heart worm. The rabies shot done at least 30 days before travel and the flea, tick and worm treatment done at least 48 hours before traveling. The pet passport will cut down on the amount of paper work that you would need to bring with you, while traveling. On your return journey you would have to visit a vet for a health check up and might need treatment again for tick, flea and worm, depending on what the requirements are needed in your country of origin finally, I had no access issues while in the United States with my guide as like you her harness was different to harnesses that are used in the United States. I have traveled back to USA again with my current guide who was trained in the USA and again no issues with access, which is great news for overseas visitors to there. I hope the information on pet passport was of some help enjoy your travels, I will be traveling back early next year, and am really looking forward to my trip.
