[NAGDU] A spaw day

    Cindy and all :

Every dog is different and so their needs are not going to be the same.
Personally I do bathe my dogs at least three or four times a year or more
often as needed. I find this especially good for my golden because it gets
her clean from lying out in the mulch and grass in my yard. Even though I
brush her every day sometimes it is just good to give the coat a good bath.
It is especially helpful in the spring and fall when they are shedding.
There are many good products that promote healthy skin and reduce shedding.
My vet said bathing the dog often is not a problem if cleanliness is needed
as long as you use a good dog shampoo that conditions and moisturizes the
skin. My current golden has allergies so periodic baths keeps her skin from
getting too dry and itchy. My advice is to check with your vet for
recommendations about your individual dog if you have any doubts about the
need for bathing. Many people do their own bathing but some people cannot
do this anymore due to their own health issues. Groomers can be very
expensive so I am still doing Eva myself but it is not as easy as it used to
be. I love the soft silky feel of the golden coat especially
just after she has had a bath.

OK, soe Gabriel, you made your point about when dogs should be bathed. You
don't need to hammer it home because, as you said, everyone has his/her own
way of dealing with when/how to care for the dog's grooming needs. Sometimes
we have gotten our ideas from friends, from a school, from family, or have
just come up with it on our own. Sometimes we read here and change our
minds, but let us not keep saying that we think someone is wrong here. That
person has the right to do what he/she is doing.
Thanks.

thats cool, but again, i think washing our dogs is bad for their skin and
their natural oil that is in their bodies. Again everybody has their own
way of spoiling their dogs, mine is playing with her good grooming coconut
oil and some organic essential oils which are mixed into the coconut oil.
cheap and makes the bond with your dog even stronger, thatâ?Ts my 2 cent
worth, hope all are having a great day.
