[NAGDU] guide dogs and pet dogs

Hi,
Does anyone here own both a guide dog and pet dog?  If so, have you
had any issues with either dog?
I just got my first guide dog about a month ago, and my boyfriend who
lives with me is thinking of getting a pet dog.
Does the guide dog still understand their role as a guide dog?  Does
the pet dog get upset that it stays home while the guide leaves?  Any
issues with territory, or sharing?
I'm not worried about my guide dog; she grew up with several dogs, and
loves other dogs we see, but pet dogs are raised so much differently.
