[NAGDU] Just caught an organization violating state laws

Hi Melissa. I’m just a very nosy person and I always want to know the reasons people do stuff. So I was interested in the reason the nature Conservatory gave her not allowing service animals. Even if I don’t agree with somebody’s reason I still always want to know it. I haven’t ever visited Anitra conservatory that I know of. My closest two places are the examples I gave in the email with my local zoo who seems to have a really reasonable policy regarding service animals and Bear world who were fantastic.

Haven delt with other issues like this in this state before both with the university I went to and the Renissance Festival, hopefully, my e-mail to the organization will straighten them out.

If the reason is there are frayed that the dogs are going to P on the flowers well that’s not a good reason. But are they afraid that the dogs and the animals might interact in a really bad way? Our local zoo here allows service animals except for in a couple of areas. I was not allowed to bring my service animal into the Lions and tigers area and that is something I fully support! A friend of mine took her guy dog into the Lions and tigers area and the tiger was trying to eat her service animal. The service animal was absolutely freaked out even though the Tiger had no ability to reach the service animal at all. From my low vision perspective it was really fascinating to watch because I could see the tiger leaping and I never seen anything like that before or cents. But my friend got out of there fast and didn’t want anything like that to happen to her dog again and I didn’t want my own service animal going through that. The other place that ours who does not allow service animals is the wild bird show. This makes sense to me. Last summer I went to bear world and I brought my dog. It worked out fine and it was actually a lot of fun! They had the most fantastic petting zoo and if my memory serves me correctly, I brought my dog in the petting zoo with me and everything went really well. It was the most beautiful friendly deer there and she would just let you walk up to her and pet her. My husband was having neck problems and she walked up to my husband and started licking his neck over and over again.
> Anyway, just my thoughts and I would be interested in hearing the experiences of other people who attended nature Conservatory’s or zoos and what your time there with your service animal has been like.
