[NAGDU] Harnesses with removable handles

Hi,
I’m curious, as well, about these supposed
safety issues. I use my harness from Julie in a lot of situations, including traveling and rainy weather. I use my TSE harness in some situations, but I really like the flexibility of the nylon harness.
Also, I think that if the harness were completely off during an emergency, it would take longer to put the harness back on than it would to reattach the handle.

>> Hi all! I am hoping that some people who use a harness with a removable handle respond to this email. My dogs come from the Seeing Eye and the handle on the Seeing Eye harness does not remove. I know their harnesses that have easily removable handles. If you use one of those, why do you like it. When I get in to the car I usually remove my dogs harness. This is because it seems like it’s more comfortable for the dog and also sometimes the reflector tape has scratched up The dashboard on people’s car. So I removed the harness for those two reasons. It’s become just a habit. But I wonder if it would be more convenient to have a harness with a removable handle. I’m getting my next dog at the end of September. After I come home I could switch to one of these harnesses. Is it difficult for the dog to make the switch? How do you know which harness to get? Thanks so much for any help!
