[NAGDU] Pill giving

I throw most of Irish's pills in his food and he's so ravenous that I don't
think he even would notice them, everything is just sucked up I no time!
Otherwise, if I have to give him a pill when it's not his food time, I use
pill pickets and he scarfs those down, too. It's hard to pill him because
he's got so much slobber and he's a big dog, I know it sounds awlful to say,
with a large mouth and things can easily get lost and then he'll spit them
out. Try the pill pockets, too, if you need another way to do it. You can
get those at pet stores or your vet and they come in a couple different
flavors.

Subject: [NAGDU] Pill giving

Krokus has to take his pill for overactive bladder twice a day. I was
trying to figure out how to give it to him, without having to pill him.
Then I thought that he will eat anything, pretty much, so I tried mixing the
pill with 4-5 kibbles and offering it to him in my hand right before he
eats, when he's most excited. He snarfs up the lot, usually without
chewing. Very easy. So, if someone else has to give a pill, and has a
ravenous dog like mine, give my method a try.
