[NAGDU] canine crutiate ligament problem

Dan:

Did you see the specialist yet and what was the result of that appointment? 
No, Cinnamon did not have surgery.  My vet felt that surgery would not have 
helped her.  Over time scar tissue fills in where the ligament is torn. 
Surgery can be done but it can also create more problems in that joint.  My 
vet said that sometimes the surgery can make things a lot worse.  Cinnamon 
was on anti-inflammatory pain meds as needed the rest of her life.

so here's a question, Sandra, Marion, and all, did Cinnamon, or in
Marion's case, Kathy...did either of the dogs have the operation to
repair the ligament?

And if so, how did it work out, I'm not even talking about whether my
pup would eventually work as a guide again or not, I'm more thinking of
him being healthy and happy...
