So sorry to hear about your loss. Take comfort in having spent almost 14
years with your precious pup. Think of him running and jumping now with no
pain.

Think of him and smile, Janell

Subject: [NAGDU] Irish crosses that rainbow bridge

Well, today has been a long sad day for us. I started noticing things
getting worse for Irish at the end of last week and called and talked with
my vet about the situation. We made the decision to let him go today, so we
took him in to the vet this morning and stayed with him to the very end
assuring him how fine a dog he was and what a blessing he's been to me all
these years. He had such a hard time being retired, as bad as his arthritis
was, even one day last week when I was heading out to go somewhere, he came
to the door with me wanting to go. He would have been 14 years old in
January.. One of the most important things I could say is that several
years before I got him I'd been hit by a car, and since that time I was
sometimes really nervous about crossing busy intersections, the busier the
intersection the more nervous I'd get. When I got Irish, I got the gift of
my independence and confidence traveling back again. That was such a huge
gift!

Charlene
