[NAGDU] Do you have a cane whet walking with a guide dog?

Hi Tarzan. This recently came up at a presentation I attended. In the early days of guide dog schools, people were taught to carry and use their canes for certain things while working with their dogs. Gradually that changed as infrastructure in the U.S. became more predictable. I am told that in Europe it is still more common to see people using their canes for specific things while working their dogs but others may have different information.

Personally, I always try to carry a cane in my bag just in case I need it for some reason. Thanks for raising this interesting topic.

My name is Tarzan from Japan.

I have a question.

Some users hava a cane when walking with a guide dog. Others not.
Do you have a cane in such situation?
