Hi all,
I know none of you are vets, but I still thought I'd ask. Jessie is not herself,
she's listless, holding her head down, and for sure holding up her right foreleg
and possibly her right rear one too. She was fine this morning, she ate her
breakfast, sure she didn't come out of her kennel with the same inthusasium, but
she doesn't always come flying out when we let her out. Then around 12 Dad
called her over to hang out with us, and when she came over her walk sounded a
little different. Then a little while later she acted like she wanted outside,
but when she got up that's when the holding up her leg (s) started. We thought
at first that she'd slipped on some ice, but the only ice we have is on our
outdoor rink, and Dad went and scrapped the ice, and there was absolutely no
sign that she'd been on it. Dad also looked in the garage (the door had been
left open), but it didn't look as though she'd gotten into anything, he also
looked in her kennel, but there wasn't anything there. The whole time that she's
been in the house she's been on her bed or lying on the floor in between our
desks (which are near her bed), she hasn't been wandering around the house at
all. Mom and Dad were able to get her up and moving around a bit, but it was a
struggle. She can still wag her tail, and when you touch her legs and lift them
she doesn't act painful at all. She's just really stiff and not acting like
herself at all. It's really weird and concerning that she seemed fine this
morning and now she's not, any ideas? And before anyone asks, there haven't been
any changes in her diet recently, she doesn't get any table scraps, and she's
not on any other medication other then heartworm preventive but that's done now
as it's winter. Look forward to any thoughts!!! Thanks
Madison
