[NAGDU] Zoom Groom question

I think the Zoom Groom is a Kong product.  Mine is roughly the size of
my hand.  It is almost oval, except that one end is somewhat indented.
The top has a hole and a couple of grooves that I suppose are meant to
help you handle it, but I haven't figured that out.  The bottom has
these bristle-like shapes that are almost cones.  The thing feels like a
hard rubber, but I don't know for sure whether it's rubber, plastic, or
some combination. I doubt that's a great description, but I hope it
helps a little.

You would brush the dog with it; then when there was a lot of hair in it, you would retract the bristles. The bottom of the brush where the bristles had been was not gone, but the majority of the hair removed from the dog was on top of that surface and you could just brush or pick it off and put into the waste basket.

I've read and heard that you're supposed to use it in a circular motion on your dog, but it feels a little strange to me. I haven't used it a lot in these three years plus, but I decided to ask here whether people on this list use it regularly and, if so, its pluses and minuses. I ordinarily use two brushes, sometimes one of them twice, and a comb to get the hair out of the brushes. Is the Zoom Groom supposed to make the job simpler?
