That's funny. They rejected me even though I had dogs for 40 years at that
time. My thought afterwards was that Maybe I didn't sell myself well enough.
I do think they are a good school though. I returned a dog to them because
she peed inside at many places. I took her to the vet, and I gave her a
chance to relieve herself every single time I was going to go into a
building. The vet said nothing was wrong with her. I have found out since
then about spay incontinence. I think that was her problem, and if we had
treated her for that and her problem cleared up, I would have been glad to
continue to work with her. I refused to work with that vet since then. It
was an unfortunate situation. 

I have had 2 successful dogs from The Seeing Eye since.

Hi;

Nice to hear good things about freedom.  I have heard good things about
their program but its interesting that they locally have accepted lots of
folks that other schools were happy to reject.  An acquaintance may be
getting a dog from their program this fall and it will be interesting to
watch.

Fidelco is the only other program that is fully into home training.  Not
sure if I want a big shepherd.  Also  I found it curious that a group of
attornies apparently decide if you are a worthy candidate.  Somehow that
just seemed a bit off.
