I would say that I find my dogs have scavenged less with food rewards, but I think it does depend on the dog. Some dogs just scavenge, food rewards or not.

I too would find the recording interesting if the presentation was recorded.

Food rewards are something I've found difficult.  After years of don't feed the dog its hard to switch gears.  Also the first dog that I seriously tried food rewards with was a big time scavenger. Now whether the two were at all related is anyone's guess.
