I agree with Julie! The short hair on a Doberman is very easy to care for, minimal shedding! Meghan loves blankets too!
Best,
Sarah and GH Meghan

I am currently working a Doberman guide. No, she doesn't particularly like the cold, but she's quite agreeable to wearing a coat when it's really cold. She tolerated the heat better than any of my other dogs, until she developed health issues recently. Her coat is super easy to care for, a massaging brush once a week and a wipe down with a wash cloth every once in a while. She does shed, but because her coat is short, and there is no undercoat, the shedding is minimal.
She does like to have a blanket to sleep. She will even cover herself up with it. I find this endearing and happily provide her with her very own blanket.
