Tracy,
Way to go! As I remember, those first few days are so exciting with a new
dog.

Subject: [NAGDU] Class so far

Class so far is going very well. Igloo moves out at a good pace, which is
wonderful after so long pleading for Krokus to step out. He's focussed, and
he's easy to correct when he does get distracted. We've passed many dogs
and some bushes, and he's trotted right past. We went to the supermarket
today, because it's raining and icy, and he walked past everything with only
a couple thoughts about sniffing, which I corrected with just a soft verbal
scolding. And no scavenging so far! We've had some traffic checks, some
planned and others not, and he's done exactly as he should. No surprise
there. And he continues to be very well-behaved in the room, though there
isn't much opportunity for mischief. He did pick up my sock, but only to
hold in his mouth. Retriever!
He is 65 pounds and 23.5 inches tall, which is an inch taller than Krokus.
His daddy was a chocolate lab, and some of his siblings are chocolate. I
didn't know chocolate and yellow litters could be mixed, but there it is.
It's early days yet, but so far it's great.
Tracy
