Hi, Melissa. I'm sure this is a frustrating situation for you and
especially your doggie.
If your apartment was like the last one I lived in, I had three windows
and one door and they all faced the same way, so no alternative routes
unless I managed to squeeze out my front door and cut through landscaping.
Would it be possible for you to take your cane and have the dog heal?
Is it the mess and the noise that's bothering her or just the
obnoxiousness of construction equipment? Could you make your way to
your relief spot before they start working? Do you have somewhere you
could go during the day where she would have a good relief area?
I agree this should have been something the complex management should
have warned people of in advance, especially if the patio is the only
means of getting to the front door.
