[NAGDU] FYI: Discrimination at TGI Fridays near the convention hotel in Orlando

If any Seeing Eye graduates go to TGIF who have downloaded the Seeing Eye app, they can go into the app and search for state laws. Hang on, and I will see if I can specifically find the steps that need to be taken.


There may also be graduates of other schools who have downloaded the same app since it is not specific to Seeing Eye graduates only.

Open the app. Down on the bottom of the screen, navigate to the second tab which is identified as United States. Select that tab. It brings you to a page that has federal laws as an option and state laws as an option. Select state laws, navigate to Florida, and once that page is opened, navigate to the PDF document identified as access and housing. That will bring up a document that staff can read then and there that goes through Florida's laws about public access and housing. Good luck.

I of course told them about the convention and that many customers with guide dogs would likely be at the restaurant this week. I would suggest anyone here looking for a place to eat consider going there, ideally as a group with multiple guide dogs, to make sure this restaurant abides by the law.
