TSE has a reputation for being conservative, and I think it's true, in the
good old meaning of the word.

They're up-to-date or cutting-edge on breeding, genetics, medicine, and
science stuff, but, when it comes to training methods and equipment, they
look at new ideas long and hard before adopting them.  They don't drop
what's worked well for decades just because it's hip and modern.  I'm
old-school myself, so that is great with me.  Sometimes graduates give them
a bit of a poke, like having a harness handle that's easy to remove, but
mostly it's a fine thing to be cautious about changing stuff that works.
After all, it's my life on the line, really.
