I'm going to try to be good and make this my last message to the list today since I don't want to exceed the five message limit. But virtue is a sponsored dog. For those who don't know what that is, it means that someone who had a whole bunch of money to give to the CI had the right to name a puppy. The person who sponsored Verch with whom I have contact via email is a former member of the military. She retired as a lieutenant colonel. At one time, she raised for The Seeing Eye, but she is now too frail to do so. So, she makes sure that once a year, she names a puppy, and the name usually is patriotic in nature. 

As more people welcome me, I will re Respond to them away from the group. But I wanted the entire group to know the history behind virtues name.
