Steve, thanks for the positive story. Your story reflects the experience I typically have with rideshare drivers. I don’t understand what makes the difference. I know people in Denver who are turned down 20-25% of the time. I Colorado Springs just 60 miles down the highway I get turned down about once a year. The Colorado Springs Metro is about half the size, a little less, than Denver Metro. I would think most of our drivers would be similarly situated to the Denver Metro drivers. i.e. gig workers, immigrants, race, color, creed, economic circumstance, etc. So I'm trying to understand why the experience of a Colorado Springs, totally blind, old white guy, with a German Sheppard, would be so different than my Denver Metro colleagues. It's interesting. And there is a big difference when I get turned down it's usually in Denver Metro as opposed to once or twice a year in Springs.

Steve, I'm very glad that you had such a positive experience with the Uber driver wanting to know about guide dogs and so forth, and she also treated you with respect.
I've started generously tipping those drivers who go above and beyond!

Take good care.
