Comment Period Open for Proposed Rules for Movie Captioning and Audio Descriptions!

 

The Department of Justice has issued a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) proposing to amend the ADA Title III regulations to require movie theaters to show movies with closed movie captioning and audio description so those with hearing and visual disabilities can better access the movies. These proposed rules are now open for public comment through September 30th. You may submit comments, identified by CRT Docket No. 126 or RIN 1190-AA63, by any of the following methods:

*	Regular U. S. mail: Disability Rights Section, Civil Rights Division, U.S. Department of Justice, P. O. Box 2885, Fairfax, VA 22031-0885.

¡Abrio el periodo para Comentarios sobre las Regulaciones Propuestas para Subtitulos y Audio Descripcion en el Cine!

El Departamento de Justicia ha emitido un Aviso de Propuesta de Reglamentacion (NPRM) que propone modificar las Regulaciones para el Titulo III de la ADA, para requerir que las salas de cine muestren peliculas con subtitulos y audio descripcion para que las personas con discapacidades auditivas y visuales puedan tener mayor accesibilidad a las peliculas. Estas regulaciones propuestas estan abiertas a comentarios del público hasta el 30 de septiembre. Usted puede presentar comentarios, identificado que es relacion al CRT Docket No. 126 o RIN 1190-AA63, por cualquiera de los siguientes medios:
