Hello Rhonda,

Please get in touch with people today and have them email or call delegates.
Ask the delegates to vote in favor of HB 1242, a bill that will give regular
consistent funding to the library for the blind and physically handicapped.
The bill needs action quickly so that it can meet the deadline of going over
to the senate. People should either call or send emails. Tell the delegates
that the library is an important program that helps blind children, blind
seniors, and blind adults.

Please send emails to the members of the committee from PG County. The email
address is always the first name, then a period, then the last name, then
@house.state.md.us . I am providing the committee list at the end of this
email. In addition to the delegates in PG County, everyone should also send
an email to the Chairman of the Education Subcommittee, Delegate Anne
Kaiser, and to the Chairman of the Ways and Means Committee, Delegate Sheila
Hixson.

Please get your emails in by Tuesday, March 18th. Please let me know what
response you receive.

PG County - Jolene Ivey, Carolyn Howard, Michael Summers, Jay Walker, Alonzo
Washington

Make sure the delegates know that we want them to vote in favor of this
bill. Get your family and friends to send emails too.

If people cannot do email, have them call and give their name and ask for
support. The phone number is 301-858-, plus the extension. Here are the
extensions for PG County delegates:

Ivey: 3478

Howard: 3919

Summers: 3340

Walker: 3581

Washington (Alonzo): 3652

Thanks for your help,

Sharon Maneki
