for anyone on a learning journey through physical change and challenge. As a

look at emotional, mental and spiritual aspects of well-being. As a career
and executive coach and healer, Sheridan translates her own journey into
practical life-enriching strategies which enable those facing illness or
adversity to thrive.
Also on Saturday May 2nd, Kathy Gosselin of NFB Newsline will talk about the
service which provides access to an assortment of magazines and newspapers
over the phone. NFB-NEWSLINER is well over 300 publications AND it's still
growing. Four Spanish-language newspapers are available to all subscribers.
Also on Saturday May 2nd, Chikodinaka Ogueledo will talk about the LG
Optimus F3Q Android Cellphone which has a sliding keyboard and is accessible
to people who are blind and visually impaired
Curriculum for the 5th and 6th meeting of the Saturday Technology Training
Session Job Club for Spring 2015, (it is the same topic for both meetings)
are attached. Please read through these in preparation for the Job Club.
All events will be held in room 215, Center for Accessibility, at the Martin
Luther King Jr. Memorial Library, 901 G Street, NW, Washignton DC, 20001. We
are located between Metro Center and Gallery Place. There is no public
parking at the library.
Please let us know at least 7 days in advance if you require American sign
language interpretation or other accommodation.

July 18th - Make decisions, negotiate salary, continue the search
The Spring 2015 series of STTS will be a Job Club that may be especially
helpful to job seekers with disabilities, occurring from January 17 to July
18th on most of the first and third Saturdays. The first STTS of the season
will be January 17th, 1pm to 4pm. It is a chance for everyone interested in
participating in the Job Club to get together and share information.
The Job Club will be an opportunity for presentations, demonstrations and
breakout sessions on the topic of employment and business incubation. Each
meeting will start with a presentation or demonstration and group discussion
on a pre-selected topic, listed below. After group discussion there will be
time for individual work in our Adaptive Workstation Lab, with one-on-one
help as much as is possible, and facilitated break-out groups.
Tech Talk Tuesdays happen every Tuesday evening from 6:30pm to 8:30pm and
will include the following recurring topics: 1st Tuesdays: iOs and Android
discussion and volunteer help sessions. 2nd Tuesday: Professional-level,
employment-related meetup, 3rd Tuesday: Maker Meetup - discussion of
accessibility and the MLK library's new makerspaces, 4th Tuesday: Game Night
including accessible chess, Uno, Bingo and other board and card games.
