[Nationalharbor] Urgent action needed by P.G. County residents

Hello all,
 
The P.G. County Council has been working on Council Bill 9, a bill to
require taxicabs to provide vehicles that can handle wheelchairs.  The
National Federation of the Blind of Maryland suggested that this bill be
amended to spell out the responsibilities that drivers have to carry
passengers with service animals.  Please email or call the County Council
members on Monday, November 14.  Ask them to add the service animal
amendments suggested by the National Federation of the Blind of Maryland.
They will be voting on this bill on Tuesday, November 15, so you must act
immediately.
 
Everyone should call Councilman Todd Turner, because he is the chairman of
the Transportation, Housing and the Environment Committee which considered
