Request for Inclusion of TCIEA in WIOA Reauthorization

Dear Amanda,

I am writing to respectfully request that the [House Education and Workforce
Committee/Senate HELP Committee] include the Transforming the Culture of
Incarceration and Employment for All (TCIEA) in the upcoming reauthorization
of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA).

Incorporating the TCIEA into the reauthorization would effectively end the
practice of paying subminimum wages to individuals with disabilities.
Additionally, it would eliminate the need for a separate government program
to oversee special wage certificate holders.

Thank you for your attention to this critical issue. I appreciate your
consideration of this important change.
