<p class=MsoNormal>I’m a writer-editor in the Publications and Media Section
here at NLS, and one of the projects I’m overseeing this year is a series of
six posters that will be rolled out over the next three years to promote the
NLS program. We’re working with a professional advertising photographer and
have some exciting visual ideas. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>I’m reaching out to our area network libraries to see if you
can help us identify patrons who might be good models for one of our posters.
We’re looking for a diverse variety of people who use our talking-book and/or
braille services—children, teenagers, older people, couples, professionals.
Some we might want to photograph in the library; others at home or in a
recreational setting (outdoors, at the gym) where they are enjoying reading
with our iPhone app or a digital talking-book machine. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>If you have some patrons in southern Maryland (Montgomery or
PG counties, or nearby) who you think might fit the bill and would enjoy doing
this, please e-mail or give me a call and let’s talk about the best way to
approach them. If you would like a little more information about the project,
